Can this connect my TV optical audio output to RCA speakers?
Yes. This converter changes optical/Toslink digital audio from your TV into analog RCA L/R output for stereo amplifiers, receivers, or powered speakers with RCA input. Please set your TV audio output to PCM or LPCM.
Does it support Dolby Digital, DTS, or 5.1 surround sound?
No. This DAC converter supports PCM/LPCM stereo audio only. Please turn off Dolby, DTS, AC3, or 5.1-channel output on your TV or source device.
Can this convert RCA to optical?
No. This model converts optical/Toslink digital input to RCA analog output only. It is not a reverse RCA-to-optical converter.
Why is there no sound after connecting it?
Please check three things: set the TV digital audio output to PCM/LPCM, make sure the USB power cable is connected, and confirm the optical cable is fully inserted into the TV optical output.
Can I control the volume with my TV remote or use this with headphones?
No. Volume is adjusted on the connected amplifier, receiver, or powered speaker, not with the TV remote. This model is for RCA audio devices only and does not support headphones.
