Can anyone that bought this tell me if it works good with HD video?  I would like to buy one of these for my TV if I can run hd video from sites like YouTube Netflix and Hulu.

I haven't run HD video through the one I bought; I set it up as a simple linux desktop for my older parents.  I can tell you the fan is on the loud side to use as a HTPC stock.  I did not look at fan settings or even consider changing the fan out though.  It worked and was quiet enough for emailing and web surfing.

Any computer, even the ones with tiny slow processors, will benefit from an SSD. Solid state hard drives even make great ways to add some speed to an older computer. SSD's don't have any lag like a platter based drive does and they make better use of the SATA (wheter it be sata2 or sata3) than even good HDD's. Now lets not put a bottom end cheap SSD against an enterprise server grade HDD, but they are well worth the price. Consider downgrading in size from your mechanical hard drive to SSD to keep costs on the same plane. A 500 gig HDD vs. a 128 gig SSD. 128 gigs on a machine running Ubuntu would be more than plenty for snappy OS performance and enough space leftover for a few applications. Consider buying an external case for the HDD you may pull from a computer like this and make it a portable USB drive.

No. For that you'd have to either install a slim DVD drive or use an external drive.

If you're asking about WiFi, then no. It doesn't have a built-in WiFi adapter. You can buy a cheap one from Newegg.

There's no dvd drive. Though there's a slot on the case, I think you'll have a hard time fitting it in. You're probably better off with an external drive.

can I install windows xp or windows seven on this, and would the drivers for windows be available?

I installed Win8 without a problem. Win7 should work too. XP could be another story.
