Instructions For Cleaning Surface Prior To Application
Materials Needed: A clean lint free cloth, a 50/50 mix of water and Isopropyl Alcohol and a scouring pad.
- Remove any excess dirt from surfaces where you will be using the tape.
- Use the 50/50 mix of water and Isopropyl Alcohol to wet the lint free cloth.
- Clean the substrate surface wiping in one direction with the damp cloth. Be sure to wipe the surfaces thoroughly, avoiding back and forth or circular motions.
- Take a scouring pad and lightly rub the surfaces, (don’t rub too hard, just enough to lightly rough up surface).
- Wipe surfaces again with 50/50 mix.
- Allow surfaces to completely dry prior to application.
Application Instructions
Step 1
After the surfaces have been cleaned, it's time to get started. Cut and apply the tape to the surface, leaving the liner in place.
Step 2
Apply firm pressure to the tape to ensure full contact with the surface. To ensure optimal adhesion, run a hand roller across the tape, applying pressure and rolling out any air bubbles.
Step 3
Remove the liner and fit the two surfaces together, once again applying firm pressure to ensure full contact.
Pro Tip
After the tape is bonded, it’s important to not try and test the bond. T-Rex Mounting Tape’s adhesion will naturally increase as time passes. Let the tape set for at least 24 hours to achieve full bond strength before handling.
