Proper storage keeps clay items for about 3 years. A protective coating like varnish extends their life.
Can I paint it? What paints can I use? Do I need to seal it after painting?
Once the air-dry clay is completely dry, you can paint it with acrylic or watercolor paints. However, you must apply a varnish after painting to prevent fading and moisture damage.
