Tissue Paper Gift Wrap Ideas
Fancy Fringe
Add texture to gifts with tissue paper fringe:
- Cut strips of tissue paper about 4? wide and long enough to wrap around the gift.
- Fold the paper in half lengthwise, and cut narrow snips about 1? to 1 1/2? deep on the non-folded side.
- Wrap it around the gift with the fringe stopping about an inch from the bottom, and tape to secure.
- Repeat with each strip and add them to the gift, layering the fringe as you move up.
Tip: Slide your card behind the fringe so it doesn't get lost!
Card Confetti
Surprise a loved one with DIY tissue confetti:
- Cut large pieces of tissue paper in 2-4 colors and designs.
- Stack the pieces and fold in half horizontally then vertically.
- On a non-folded side, cut wide snips about 2? to 3? deep to make a fringe.
- Cut across the fringe to make confetti squares.
- Put the confetti inside a card to wish someone happy birthday or congratulations with unexpected flair!
Tip: Scatter DIY confetti across a tablecloth to make a meal more festive.

- Cut 4-inch wide strips of tissue in 4-5 rainbow colors. They should be long enough to wrap around the gift.

- Cut a scalloped strip of white tissue to make a cloud at the top of the rainbow.
- Tape layers together at each end, then wrap around gift. Tape to box.
