This complete set of replacement adhesive strips is specifically cut to be compatible with 27" iMacs from Late 2012 to 2019 and the iMac Pro.
- The individual adhesive strips are labeled to indicate their correct location as shown in the replacement guides.
The unique design of the 27" iMac requires the replacement of the adhesive strips whenever the display assembly is removed. Fortunately, these adhesive strips are actually a foam tape, easily cut with an iMac Opening Wheel. Unfortunately, the display has to be removed every time anything needs to be replaced or upgraded inside the machine.
Note: The adhesive bond of these strips depends on complete cleaning and preparation of the application surfaces of your iMac case and display assembly.
Before installation:
- Remove all previous adhesive and residue.
- Clean application surfaces with 90% (or greater) isopropyl alcohol.
Without proper surface preparation the adhesive bond may fail and severe damage to your iMac may result.
