does the usb on the KVM acting as a hub?

No, it appears as a HID input device supporting both keyboard and mouse features. This device does not fully support keyboards like the Microsoft Nature Ergonomic 4000, supporting basic 104-key layouts. It also does not support advanced gaming mice either, only supporting the basic 5 buttons and a wheel. This means none of the fancy hotkeys or functions of such keyboards and mice work through this KVM. This isn't a problem for labs since most companies only bother getting basic keyboards and mice for lab setups.
