Question 1

Is the front door reverseable so  it can open from the other side? In the pictures it hinges on the left and opens from the right. I can not find any info on it.

As far as I can tell it is not reversible. It's not very often that you need to open the front however, as the optical drive has its own door that's bottom-hinged and opens automatically when the disc tray does. If you have a second optical drive, or some other kind of removable media drive than it might be an issue, but I think I've personally opened the door once or twice since purchasing.

Question 2

In the main picture, this case front looks like a metallic, somewhat shiny grey which I like.  However, when you look at all the other shots, the front looks mat black.  I know studio photos done with studio lights can make black look like shiny grey at times.  Could you tell me the actual color and texture of the front of this case?

The case is all matte black; it offers very little reflection. The only glossy part is the power/HDD activity panel. It has a bright blue LED for power indication. Light would be fine if tower the sits on the floor, but I have it on desk top. I recommend not peeling the protective plastic off of the light panel to tone down the blue LED.
