Very quite fan on heat sink 8/26/2020 12:01:26 AM

Pros: I liked it so much I bought a 2nd one for other builds.

Cons: Fan attachment using wire clips is a big pain if the heat sink is already installed in case.
I like the plastic clips found on the Hyper 212 EVO much better. It's like snap in the back side-rotate a little, snap in the front side.
Shipping time (4-7 Days) . UPS through USPS was 13 DAYS with NO Tracking at all from USPS.

Overall Review: Great product but poor shipping through -USPS-.

Quiet and still fairly efficient! 8/14/2020 6:33:59 PM

Pros: If you don't plan on heavy overclocking and want a quiet cooler than this may be the cooler for you. I recently built a computer with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600. It came with the wraith stealth cooler. It's an ok cooler until you stress the 3600. Leaving oc on Auto on my MB, 4200 Mhz, and running the latest versions of Intel Burn Test and OCCT it reached 88C and 86C. The fan was running at 2550 RPM and was loud.

I read several reviews on the Rock 2 and most agreed that it sacrifices cooling power for quietness, so I purchased another 120mm Pure Wings 2 fan for a push-pull configuration. These fans are rated for 1500 RPM max. I ran the same tests and the max temps were 73C and 71C. The fans were running at 1450 and 1480 RPM. Due to the blade design they were still quiet.

Cons: The fan clips are a bit flimsy and the fans are still a bit loose and the fins on the cooler bend easily. When I stood my computer up the fans slipped down a bit.
The back plate on my Asrock B550 MB will not stay in place unless you hold it from the back. So topside installation only is not possible.

Overall Review: As I said if you are only going to do light or no overclocking with a lower voltage CPU like the 3600 and want quiet then this will do; but there is a lot of competition out there in this price range that gives better thermal performance. I'm keeping mine at 4200 Mhz. CPU voltage was 1.325V, high enough for me.

The case in the pic is a Corsair Carbide 110R with front and rear 120mm fans. Temps were recorded with the sides on.

Budget air cooler that runs quiet 7/12/2020 7:05:18 PM

Pros: -As the name suggests, it's pretty quiet
-Keeping idle temps at around 37 degrees avg; below 60 during intense gaming

Cons: -Perhaps some performance was sacrificed for the low noise level

Overall Review: For whatever reason, this cooler hasn't been reviewed yet, so here goes. Performance-wise, I think it matches up with the Hyper 212 (though I can't really confirm this). Noise levels are low, and that's to be expected from this brand. And as you can see from the figures above, it's not like this has really impacted performance. And what I failed to mention above is that I've actually overclocked my 3100 and stuck it and the rest of my system in a Pure Base 500--a quiet case for sure; but not one known for its stellar thermal performance. All in all; I'm impressed, and would totally recommend this product to those looking for a quiet, budget air-cooler.

Quiet and Effective! 7/5/2020 2:08:38 PM

Pros: Quiet

Cons: Directions don’t mention thin washers included for AMD. I don’t know what they are for and it works fine without them.

Overall Review: Very pleased with noticeable noise reduction from stock AMD wraith cooler. Temps dropped over 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
