The use of dip switches or other hardware-based selection mechanisms, which inherently decrease the reliability of the hardware but are still used by the competitors, is avoided.

The PDX3000 comes with a 2 line by 20 character table top display with 0.5cm character height, which provides crisp, clear text messages to grab customer attention at the Point of Sale. Scrolling, user-definable characters and a built-in real-time clock are all standard features of the unit’s firmware.

And the display is more visible than its competitors, due to a special scratch-resistant lens that has a color optically matched to the light emitted from the vacuum fluorescent display.

Support for Almost Any Command Set and Many Different Languages

The PDX3000 provides support for many command sets, including Epson, Ultimate Technologies, IEE, EMAX or Aedex. Many different languages are also supported – from common languages like English, Spanish, German, and French to less common languages like Norwegian and Slavonic. These command sets and languages are selected through a software interface.
