I'm not sure that you asked the right question. Of course this Monitor is compatible with Windows 8.
I wonder if your real question regards the touch-screen capability in Windows 8, then the answer is NO.

BTW: there's a newer version of this monitor available at the same price. The BenQ GL2460HM. It has more inputs & better spec.

Not without an adapter. This monitor only has DVI and VGA as you can see in the pictures.

I bought this for my work office. I spend 8 hours a day staring at monitors and this doesn't bother my eyes if that is what you mean. I'm not sure what flicker free technology is exactly but I assume you are referring to the 60hz refresh rate that can cause a slight strobbing effect and can cause eye strain. If that's the case, it is pretty easy on my eyes, not the most vivid colors, I wouldn't trust Photoshop work on it, but for excel and ms word it's a great monitor.

i'm not an xbox owner but this supports dvi not hdmi.  you may be able to with a converter but i don't think you would have audio.  probably better off with an hdmi monitor with built in speakers.

I bought this monitor on december 20 2013. The monitor I recieved is model number 2450-B manufactured July 2013. Seems like model number is mostly luck

Is these moniters IPS or not?

This monitor is not IPS, and in my opinion that should not be one of the main options to consider unless you are running monitor tests for a living and need a base line for your tests.

Also, if you plan to play fast paced games in this monitor, I would not recommend it either since this monitor has a max of 60hz. Think about getting a 120hz instead, like the BenQ XL Series XL2420TE.
