Does this copy of DOOM for PC come with a digital download code? I do not have a disc drive!

It does. In fact all the disc does is open steam and have you download the game.

You can buy the physical copy through Newegg and redeem it through Steam using the product key. It'll then download and play through Steam, without ever having to use the physical CD. Under the "Games" menu,  just select "Activate a Product on Steam...", and then use the product key that comes with the disc.

Doom-Collectors Edition has been installed for many years.  Suddenly,while playing it will pixilate severly and the color scheme will go south.  I have no idea why.   ??????

If this is something that has to do with, specifically, a single color of colored-pixel appearing on your screen, you can bet that it's related to a failing graphics card. If you would like to be sure: reinstall the game after backing up any necessary save files (Google will tell you how), reload the same save where the issue was and see if it happens again. If it does, and it's not 100% at the exact same spot: try a different graphics card to be sure the on-board RAM and ICs aren't bad within your card. I've had this symptom several times throughout my PC gaming lifetime, and it almost always comes back to a finally-failing GPU.

Yes, and you can reverse it if you want. It's a standard DVD slipcase.
