Yes it does require steam, is a big game need lots of extra hard drive space, plus read required specs, older computers won't run it plus need to be 64 bit OS

The game certainly supports 1080p. My monitor is 1920x1200 and it works correctly. I don't really know about 4k being native to the game itself. I purchased my copy in May - 4k monitors were barely being talked about. The latest video cards will support in- game processing of games to 4k and then output the video to correspond to the native resolution of your monitor- 1080p. This is latest gaming trick to provide 4k quality to monitors that are not 4k.
