Does this mobo come with Windows 8 already installed, like some ASUS boards, or do you have to buy it yourself?

This board, while supporting windows 8, does not come with it. That will have to be a separate purchase. At a price tag of 50 dollars, it's an excellent deal even without the OEM software for Windows.

There is, however, a drivers disk that comes with the board as is the norm with hardware that requires one.

Is this motherboard Windows 8 ready?

If you want to run Windows 8 I am sure it will run just fine for you. I am running Windows 7 Pro 64bit and it runs just fine. I use it in my living room as a video machine. I run DVDs, Videos, Internet (Netflex) and more. It runs 24/7 since Sept. 2013 is it is still running.

Does this or the fx 6300 come with a heatsink?

Your processor will always come with a heatsink unless stated otherwise in the description. Motherboards do not include them. You ought to invest into aftermarket cooling solutions anyhow. There are several great cheap solutions.

I was wondering if this MOBO is an FM2? It says that it are an AM3+ but is there some mistake? Yep I have a Sempron and an a4 so I could try bof of um.

No, from what I know, this is strickly an AM3+ motherboard.  I purchased a 6 core AMD Processor with this, so I did not try any FM2 processor.  Personally I wouldn't try to put a non AM3+ processor in an AM3+ board.  I'd try googling the board, or asking on other forums.

If this board does not have a video chip set why does it have  vga and dvi connectors?

It does an onboard video chip. It says i had a maximum of 1GB shared memory (steals from RAM). But I am running it under Wiondows XP Home with a singlwe 4 GB DIMM. The most the BIOS allows me to use is 512MB, not the 1024 MB.  It works fine but it is always better to just install some video card, obviously. NO complaints as it is zippy enough with the FX 6300 CPU.

Hello guys,

i am using this board with an FX 8320 and a Seidon 120V AiO pushing out air in the rear side of the Case. My problem is the thermal throttling at 65 degrees, how can i disable it or volting right to make it work at least stock and safe? When i disable everything in BIOS in the CPU Configuration (eg. Power Now, C1pe states, Acpi...) it still throttles. Can you help me?

It's your NB. I'm having the same problem and I've found the solution. Now realize I've replaced the TIM on the NB HS and added a fan. It didn't really improve the temps by much. It would reach 65c regardless it just took a bit longer. It just isn't enough cooling.

Regardless. If you go to Hardware Health Configuration and change PWM Processor Hot from Auto to Disabled it will stop it from throttling down at 65c. My NB will now get to about 75c and settle there. I know this is hot. Poking around the internet seems to reveal that critical temperature is 80-90c. (one place said up to 105c)

Will this support a SATA3 SSD ?if not, what kind of SSD are supported?

The specs seem to be incomplete for this.

SATA3 (6.0Gb/s) is not supported by this board, but SATA2 (3.0Gb/s) is. That being said, you can use a SATA 3 (6.0Gb/s) drive with it since SATA is backwards compatible, but it will only run at SATA2 (3.0Gb/s) speeds.

It would be similar to using a USB 2.0 drive in a USB 3.0 port.

Ok, so i have this board, and i am wondering, can i use 1 monitor with my graphics card and 1 monitor connected to the motherboard? in the BIOS it does have an option for that, but it wont work for me.

Most boards disable their on board video when an external card is connected to it.
If you want multiple monitors, your video card will most likely handle 2 monitors at once.
Higher end cards can handle 3 but I generally suggest multiple video cards if you're looking at 3 or more monitors.

Does this board support core unlocking?  I have a sempron with a locked core.
