Question 1

Does this support Ivy bridge out of the box? Or need a bios upgrade? From the site: " it is also backwards-compatible with the Sandy Bridge platform requiring a BIOS/firmware update." Confusing wording. Does support for Sandy or Ivy require the update? I'm wanting to use a i5 3330s.

Derek, my current setup (as of October) is the B75MU3B coupled with an Ivy i5 3570, and running Ubuntu 12.04.  The MB came with the latest BIOS.  It seems to be working well.

Does this Motherboard support the Ivy Bridge Celeron processors too? Its the same socket, so i assume it will, i just wanted to double check

Yes it will. I'm running an Ivy Bridge Celeron on it myself.

If I purchase this with a Pentium G2120 Ivy Bridge, could it support dual monitors? I won't be doing gaming, it will be for just daily tasks like web, email, and programming.

Yes, but you will still be better off springing for a $40 ish graphics card because  the onboard shares your RAM so you would need to with at least 6 GB of RAM. So with the extra money you would have to spend anyway you will be better off in the long run. Also with a separate graphics card you will never use more than 4GB of RAM so dont wast your money on extra RAM if you were planning on buying more.

YES IT DOES SUPPORT RAID. I PUT IT IN A COMPUTER FOR A FRIEND OF MINE, WHO IS AN ENGINEER AND A SURVEYOR AND IT IS WORKING JUST FINE. HE USES IT EVERYDAY. IT ALSO IS HIGHLY UPGRADEABLE.

Yes.  It will support socket 1155 i3 CPUs.

a) Does this motherboard support memory speeds of 1600 Mhz for Sandy Bridge (Intel second generation) processors (such as the i5-2400) which natively only support 1333Mhz?
b) Does this motherboard support SATA III?
c) Does this motherboard support ACHI for solid state drives (SSDs)?

a) If BIOS supports memory overclocking, the yes. I think it does, but not 100% sure. You would likely have to manually set it.
b) Do you mean SATA 3Gbps or SATA 6Gbps? It supports both. The single white SATA port is 6Gbps.
c) Yes. It may or may not default to it, so you will want to check BIOS before installing Windows.
