Does this need a bios update to run haswell refresh?

NO it does not. I ran a g3258 straight out of the box, no problems

Does this motherboard support wifi?

I have tried various wifi adapters, usb and pci-e ones, and they all seem to not work really well.  I don't know why it has issues, but, I wouldn't suggest using this with a wifi adapter.

I was considering buying this MB with a Intel Core i5-4460, any thoughts from you owners or guru's out there? This seems like an odd sized MB but it should work in an ATX case, right?

Bought 2 of these to replace older micro-atx boards that were in even older ATX cases.  It turned out that these are nearly 1/3 smaller than the boards I replaced, but they fit the provide mounts with no problem.  I have used a number of other brand 1150 boards with varying results but am very pleased with the fact that my first Biostar boards were easy to install and have had zero problems with either hardware or their provided software.  These boards have all the basic goodies like SATA-6gb and USB 3 (both work flawlessly by the way), HDMI, etc.  The number and type of expansion slots fit my needs, but some may think they need more slots for their particular application.

can this board support a intel core 2 quad?

No it can not. It is a 1150 socket motherboard which is the latest socket. A Core 2 has last came out over 6 years ago. You're looking for a 775 socket most likely.

can u add ram to it and if so what is the number of pins it needs?

The 2 yellow inlays (called a bus) on the board are RAM Slots, so yes.

240 pin, DDR3 is the RAM that will fit in those 2 slots.

Does this board support any RAID levels?  I need to do a RAID 5 setup for this computer.

This is pretty much the cheapest Intel board out there.  It doesn't have raid.

will this motherboard fit into any ITX case? I know is says micro ATX but the specs say it is 7.5x6.7 and standard itx boards are 6.7x6.7. Thanks

This motherboard will fit into a micro ATX case (max. 240 mm x 240 mm), but not a mini ITX case (max. 170 mm x 170 mm).

How many fan headers are on this board? i need to hook up the CPU fan and 2 case fans, if this wont work can u recommend me a LGA1150 board that can

The motherboard has only two fan connectors, one for a case fan and one for a CPU fan.  If you don't need to monitor the RPM on the third fan, you can get a power adapter to plug it directly into the power supply.

Will this board fit in the fractal design node 304?

This board will not fit proper in in the fractal design node 304.  The in the fractal design node 304 is a micro itx case and will only fit micro itx motherboards.  The motherboard you're looking at is a mini atx board.   Micro itx boards usually don't have as many features and you pay more for the board.  If you search for cases that are mini atx you should have no problem.  Hope that helps!

Any problems in linux? I'll be running it in my HTPC through HDMI, audio and video, with a Haswell Pentium on Ubuntu.

I run Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS and all network drivers functioned without driver installs. Also connected USB 3.0 drives at full speed. I use it as a headless server so I don't know about the audio.
