Question 1

Will it fit on the side panel of my Phantom 630 and is it more quiet than the stock fan that comes with it?

I see that the Phantom case has ports and vents for two 200mm fans.  Likely, NZXT has provided at least one -- possibly both -- fans for these vents.

I have an NZXT 200mm 166CFM fan in my CoolerMaster HAF midtower.  Case comes with CM 200mm fans.  NZXT doesn't match the fanholes.  I know this, and I bought the fan intent on installing the fan, either by drilling more holes, or using black nylon wire-ties and Spire noise-deadening foam to secure the fan to the side-panel.

I ordered the BitFenix fans with the same foreknowledge.  In some review or forum, someone noted that the rectangular protrusions on the fan shroud required cutting with a Dremel to install in his case.  I will do what I have to do with those fans, but it more likely fits in my case.  Whether the case the reviewer complained of is the Phantom or something else, I couldn't tell you.  But I still count on the possibility I may have to plug in the Dremel with its wood/plastic cutting tool.

The fans have enough promise that this problem of a tight fit with the case or mounting holes is not a concern of mine, and I'm prepared for it.  You decide what you're willing to trade off in convenience, or whether you have the tools.  Or -- whether you may want to invest in a $50 Dremel kit.

Question 2

I wanted to know if this fan will fit in a ANTEC  900 to replace the top fan? Will I need to make any modification to have it fit?

Hi this be OK for a front fan for BitFenix Prodigy Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case? And specifically will I need to remove my DVD drive for it too fit? Thank you.

i am a computer tech, but i do not claim to be a pro, although i understand dynamics of airflow inside any case for a specific setup, and i do design custom pc's myself.

Just to answer your question, i do know for a fact that this fan will fit in the front vent perfectly without removing any drives...

But not knowing your setup, my suggestion would be doing a bit more research specifically for your setup before you purchase, and what i mean by that is if this is actually what you need or not. It does make sense (in a way) to have more airflow inside a case. Note that "airflow" cools your hardware, not "air". If you have a strong fan moving air in, you also have to have sufficient vents or efficient exhaust fan to help move that air out. You can not have more air going "in" than "out" up to a certain extent (search PC case airflow dynamics to understand how stagnant/static air and warm/hot air packets can develop inside pc cases), and sometimes you are better off with less air blowing IN with a good exhaust blowing the air OUT (again, depending on your setup). Also consider the size of a mini-atx compared to towers for direct air circulation.

If you like this just because of the design (which is really cool looking), one advantage of this is that it has a speed control pin. If you can install a software to control the fan speed, (there are a lot of free softwares out there, with integrated temp sensors), you can use the software to monitor the temperatures and adjust fanspeed accordingly. just remember more "air" does not always mean "cooler", more efficient "airflow" does.

i hope this helps. also search BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX photos to look at setups to have an idea. Mini ATX are generally used for general purpose computing. If you are using the PC for gaming, maybe you are better off upgrading to liquid/heavy fluid type cooling.

Will this fit The cooler master Haf 932? cooler master said they phased the 230mm fans out and said 200's would fit but i want to hear it first hand from someone.

What I know is I purchased some of these for my HAF 922 and the only place the holes would line up so you could use them was the side inlet. I could not get them to line up for fasteners on the top or the front. What a shame BitFenix would not make their fans so they fit the most popular and leading brand of cases. Seems like a huge revenue loss to me. Only way I saw to make them fit was to start cutting and drilling, and with all the fans on the market I saw no need to do that. I have however purchased their high cfm 140mm fan for the floor of my case, we shall see if it fits.
They are very nice fans, and seem well made. And they put a bunch of holes on them for mounting I'm just not sure for what cases they intended them go.

In the reviews some people said they mounted these to a 140mm fan? Is this accurate. Also does anyone know if this will fir on the side panel of a Rosewill Thore v2?

This is a 200mm fan. It does however have 3 screw holes per "corner". I fit it in the front of my cooler master storm enforcer with some modification and the cutting out of the other screw holes due to the fact that the front panel case would not fit. Now your side panel case fan is a 230mm fan and this will not fit as it is only 200mm. Hope this helps.

Will this fit in the front fan location of the Corsair 650D?

It will definitely fit on the top fan slot. This fan has a bunch of holes and will line up with 200mm fan mount holes but the only question is will the fan fit in the front. Since the top is the same width as the front means it will definitely fit in the front fan slot!

Does the red LED of this 200mm match the red LED of the 230mm Spectre Pro?

your chances are good, most fans i have gotten you couldn't tell a difference with human eyes...bigger yard led's different story.  another idea, if crucial, lol, try to find out plant spec's or order from same vendor from the same led bin...but...only once have i lit up a red fan and go, wha?  or find your own leds and install them yourself.  happy hunting.

I have an InWin Dragon Rider case and my 220mm side fan has gone bad, I see this fan has multiple mounting holes and am wondering if anyone has mounted this fan to 220mm bolt pattern??   Thanks for any info

Thanks! I bought this based on another person saying it fit but it didn't come close. The entire fan fit in between the mounting 220mm holes however; I was able to get it to mount with a bit of ingenuity so all turned out ok!
