Question 1

Can this fit a standard ATX power supply (for example the SeaSonic SSP-450RT)?  I've heard some 3U cases require special power supplies... Thanks!

Accepted Answer

This will fit a standard sized ATX power supply, but note that there will be very tight fitment of cables between the power supply and the 5 1/4" bays. It took me 10-15 minutes of finessing to properly dress the cables, and I would only call it barely acceptable to my standards (note my standards are high). If you plan on populating the middle 5 1/4" expansion bay and the 3.5" bay, you may run into a manageably big problem. Major ones if you have a modular power supply to boot. An unfixable one if you have one of those nonstandard behemoths of a power supply.

As far as your example power supply goes, it will fit no problem. There will even be ample space for the power supply fan to breathe. The only problem, again, would be dressing the wiring.

Question 2

Does anyone know the dimensions of the case? I need to make sure that it will fit in a wall mount server rack. The wall mount I'm looking at has a depth of 17in.

From the back of the mounting flange to the back of the case is 15.5 inches.  The connectors are recessed about 1/2" inch into the back of the case.  The video cable is going to need a little room but I think 17" rack should be OK.  The width is also 17".

Question 3

Is all the weight of the computer held on those 4 screws in the front?

It's difficult to believe, but yes!

Make sure you have a high-quality rack and screws! If you do, they are made from high-grade steel that is beyond capable of supporting this weight. I have a power amplifier (~30lbs) and a computer (~25lbs) on the same rack, and it's fine.

Question 4

How are the fans replaced? I was looking at one of these and it wasn't obvious. Does the entire front need to be remove Do?

Yes the entire front does come apart. However,  This is one of those purchases I wish I never bought. They never allowed any machining for air porting through the front panel. Those ribs are solid aluminum and the fans are behind it. theres literally no place for air to come thru except the grille in front and back and the 2 small side areas. I have tried 3 different mobos from an 8 core down to a dual core in this case. None were overclocked, in the end the dual core was the only one that would run in it without overheating. the hard drive frames are not shock mounted and there is only one furnished fan that does little or no good in it.  I had to add 4 to keep things cool. Today it's a paperweight. Do yourself a favor. Buy something else. The only good thing about this case is it's looks.

Question 5

How many 3.5 HDD? and is SSD mounting available?. Are the HHD drives easy accessible?  It looks from the picture that theiy are very close to the MoBo.

I can fit 7 3.5 drives in mine. Theres no SSD mounting, you're going to have to use an adapter for that. There is not much room for many drives in this case and if you're looking for more than 5+ drive storage you might want to look at another case. It can be difficult to maneuver around the case with many drives and they require you to unscrew the brackets theyre mounted into for installation and removal. There is also a chance the hard drives can interfere with the memory DIMMs on your motherboard depending on what board and memory you have.

Question 6

Is there an integral filter in the front panel (by the intake fans) or is it simply slotted intakes?
