Do I need the Mix AMP for this headset to work with my PC?

No, but its recommended if you want to take advantage of Dolby 5.1 and other features.

You might need a cable extension because the one that comes with is really short.

I don't know if it will work with PS4. I only bought it for use on a PC.

It does not come with the Amp. ASTRO does sell the amps separately.

Newegg has the best price around on this headset and the best price for the insurance plan. ASTRO only covers defects and doesn't carry an extended warranty, no drops , spills , or hazard. If you are hard on wired headsets I would recommend the drops and spills warranty.

Does this headset only have 1 3.5 jack's? I want a set that has the 3 sound jacks for using on sound cards.

Yes there is only 1 for sound and 1 for the mic. However if you take off the extension you get a phone compatible Jack.

Are these A40 TR head set platform specific? Meaning will this work on Xbox One?

The headset itself isn't platform-specific, but your Xbox One might be.  There are two different kinds of Xbox One controllers.  The old ones require a non-standard headset connector or a headset adapter module.  The new ones accept any headset with a 3.5mm jack (that's the usual one you'd find on a smartphone or other audio device).  This headset has a 3.5mm jack, so it will work with the new style Xbox controller.  For the older controllers, you'll need an adapter.
