I recently bought this headset and I downloaded the firmware update v1.3 is it worth downloading the v1.6 beta and if i do can I jump from 1.3 to 1.6 beta?

just updated to v1.3 don't use beta firmwares because might ruin your headset. GL

How is it you sell it for more than Asus themselves?

Profit margins. You cannot expect a company to be a third party seller and refrain from adding an additional fee for their paperwork. Selling a product for less than or equal to the original seller would create effectively no profits.

what devices is this headset compatible with and what are its capabilities if consoles?

I know it won't work with Xbox One because of how the headsets connect to the system. (They sync via the controller.) However, it could potentially work with the PlayStation 4 because some headsets come with a USB addition to the headset. I'm not completely certain it will work, but it's probable.

What do you mean by "what you hear" ?  It comes with the headset that goes on your ears and the base that hooks up via USB and has lots of input/outputs.  Works great so far...
