Is this the type cable to use to connect tv to satellite box?

Yes.  I use this cable to connect my Comcast Cable box to my TV.  It goes into the 'antenna/cable in' port behind my TV.  I hope that helps.

It depends on the "digital television connection".  Check the back of the "TV" or box plugged into the TV.  You are looking for a "screw on post."  No other cables have the screw on type of connection so if you see one and it says "IN" or 'Input" you are good to go.  Most digital boxes have coax (the cable in question) connections.  That to say it's a good chance this is the cable you need.
