Hi, I have a Hitachi Travelstar N155 laptop hard drive. I would like to transfer data (pictures) from it to my mac book. I have tried a Sata cable but that did not work with the plugs on this hard drive. Will this cable work with my hard drive? What other cable will I need to transfer it to mac? This is not what you're looking for. This adapter is designed to allow the use of a laptop HDD that has an IDE interface (like yours) on a desktop PC/Mac that has a motherboard with a full-size 3.5" HDD IDE connection. Assuming that you have a free USB port on your mac book, what will probably work is a USB to 2.5" IDE laptop HDD adapter.
