Used it for for over +10 years 3/27/2018 12:25:14 AM

Pros: This held many drives internally and in the 5.25 slots. Lots of room. From Homeserver 2003 to a Server 2016 Essentials.

Cons: No Dust control. I rigged a simple dust cloth from the front grill and it worked fine for years. Side case door is very close to the power plug locations of the internal HD locations. Meaning if you have SATA cables and SATA Power plugs that stick out straight, this case will be an issue. You will need 90 degree SATA HD cables and slim SATA power plugs.

Overall Review: I used this case for about 11 years. Various times it was used just for a storage server. From ATA to SATA III, I managed to fit whatever I needed to this case. Even now I don't want to discard it because it is so big and full of potential I discarded the old plastic face and made a custom one with an air filter,

Great huge case 10/24/2013 4:59:36 PM

Pros: Huge, more than enough room for hard drives and optical drives, fans, huge power supply and simple installation of MB cards, hard drives and optical drives. Also plenty of room for power and signal cables fully loaded.

Cons: Huge steel case also means it weighs a ton. Seriously fully loaded with 8 or 10 hard drives it must weigh around 25 pounds or more and unfortunately the center of gravity does not match the convenient hand holds.

Overall Review: If you can't fit your stuff in this case you need to consider getting a mainframe! It is pretty much no frills but it does have some neat ways to attach cards and mount drives.

I do like to mess with HD video and have a bunch of drives including some back up drives and I can get everything in and still route cables nicely. There is plenty of room between the MB and the drive bays to work on both with much interference.

I wish this was still in stock!

Nice case 4/14/2010 7:54:42 AM

Pros: Excellent air-flow for the hard drive cages! If brackets are installed in the 5.25 slots to add more hard drives with the 120 mm fan in the upper back of the case, it pulls the air through the drives nicely! Great case for someone who uses numerous hard drives and likes to keep them cool!!!

Cons: Not an actual con, but had to put tape where the side door meets the case to quiet the rattle.

Overall Review: If you want a hard drive case with plenty of air-flow this is IT!!!! I will definitely be buying another one!!! And by the way, the door was intact when it arrived.......I guess I need to go and buy a lottery ticket today!!!!!

Great value 4/13/2010 4:59:34 PM

Pros: Very large case and easy to work with.
Doors feel sturdy.
I like the legs that stick out to the side to provide better stability.
You can even expand the 3.5" with a 5.25" to 3.5" converter as there are plenty of 5.25" slots.

Cons: The side door squishes the SATA cables for the internal 3.5" bays a bit, and that is a bit troubling, but it works good.

Overall Review: This case doesn't come with fans, but I just bought a pair of quiet 120mm fans.

Excellent if you need a cheap place to put your RAID setup.

Behemoth 3/25/2010 9:08:12 PM

Pros: Size. There is so much room in this case for future upgrades. Tool-less design (what case doesn't boast that?)

Cons: Size. At over 2 ft tall, this case is a to carry around. I use it when I go to LAN parties and it is such a hassle. The top third of the case seems to waste a lot of space that should have been utilized.

Overall Review: This case is perfect if you plan on a large, cheap build. There is a lot of room for case mods such as an additional HDD cage.

Huge case 2/20/2010 1:44:05 PM

Pros: This case is huge your able to get anything and everything in here with a little room to spare. The only thing is you have to know how to setup a computer case with the right cables to not get any problems.

Cons: Theres no cons as i see them since this is the best case i have bought to date.

Overall Review: The only thoughts i have is why put 3 fans on the side of the case if they dont recommend anything for those fan spots but ohwell lol

Good affordable case 2/16/2010 7:44:29 AM

Pros: Excellent large case. I have 10 HD in here plus dvd burner, and there is plenty of room to play around.
The tool-less 3.5'' work very well.
Keeps everything cool, and there is plenty of room to add extra fans (which I have) and whatever else you need.

Cons: There isn't enough room between the 3.5'' HD door that closes to comfortably close it. When you connect the HD with SATA/power the door squishes the connections.
It was also too difficult to run the connections from the backside.

Overall Review: Considering the cheap price, the Cons are not as significant.

price 2/13/2010 12:26:14 AM

Pros: all don't think just buy...perfect for a server...

Cons: have one of these for a few months now been interested in getting two more ...been watching the price on these forever to buy...109 is not bad at all just wish shipping wasn't that high...just have a 1 week sale or something

Overall Review: i love this case
