Cooler Master Stacker 830 Evolution RC-830-KKN3-GP Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: If you're looking for a full tower case, you probably want a giant, well, this is it. When I FINALLY got it (ordered on a weekend... UPS doesn't ship things on a weekend, so don't do that) I pulled it out of the box, and stared at it... I felt lied to... No way do the pictures do this bad boy justice! It's MASSIVE!! When I put all my hardware in, including all the fans, I still had so much room! And this case COOLS! My 8800gtx was running at 89c in my old HP pavilion case, now runs at 65c! It's true if you have a huge heatsink like the Tuniq Tower, you'll have to pop out a fan bracket to install it, but if you did a good job picking your fans, you won't need a heatsink like that. This case has all the room, all the looks, and all the cooling you'll ever need! And don't forget the amazing removable motherboard tray (just be gentle with it, seriously), and when you get it, you'll understand it has wheels for a reason!

Cons: Well, I didn't experience this myself, but I did a LOT of research before I bought this case, and it seems there is a problem with the motherboard tray actually grounding your motherboard! They say it can be fixed with some bending, so just be sure to check your motherboard tray before you set up your system and make SURE its straight. The tray is also kinda flimsy, and I really felt like I had to treat it like a newborn child while I had it out to install the board. So maybe some folks just damage the tray while installing their motherboard. So just remember, the tray is just a thin piece of aluminum, so don't treat it like it's a thick piece of steel. You may also need to get an extension cable for your power/reset button cables, if you have a large motherboard, with the connectors on the bottom, head to the CM support site and order up some extensions. Make sure you do that, and you're good to go!

Overall Review: This case is amazing! Best I've EVER used, and I'll be using it for YEARS to come. So much space, you can do anything you want with it. The case is solid as a rock, and I even use it as a foot rest during movies. If you want to add two (or more) fans in the front, don't buy the expensive HDD cage, just search for one of these; RC-880-FBN1-GP. The dust filters on the fan brackets keep the dust level to a bare minimum on the inside of the case, and the brushed aluminum looks amazing! I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. Look, you're spending a ton of money on a top end PC, so why not give it some serious room to breathe, and a ton of fans to make sure it has a constant supply of fresh air? If you don't want to buy a new case every time you update your system, get this, you'll have it for YEARS!

Pros: Huge area to work in! Great build! Lots of fan room!, 1x front stock (can add 2x more in the front if buy 2 extra drive bay modules) , 1x back exhaust, 4 on side panel and 1x in top blowhole. Can take off door, can switch door to open left or right! Removable mobo tray!!! Aluminum!

Cons: They mention that 9 fans fit in the case which lead you to believe you can put 9 fans in out of the box. You can only have 1 fan in the front "out of the box". You have to spend extra and buy 2 more drive modules from CoolerMaster to have a total of 3 intake fans. So I was slightly dissapointed upon learning that once I received and opened the case. I had ordered 7 fans (comes with 2) and now Im going to have to refund 2 of them because I do not want to spend more money on the drive modules, already spent alot on this case. This isnt a huge con but I figured it was worth mentioning since this is not mentioned anywhere. I still highly recommend the case, it would just be nice if they would mention room for 7 fans stock, 9 total with extra purchase.

Overall Review: This case rocks! Hopefully the drive bay modules are cheap from CM. I'd like to add another intake fan.

Pros: Case is cavernous and the mesh on top, bottom, front and sides provides excellent ventilation. Casters are something of a necessity because the case in quite heavy after its filled with components. Motherboard tray is very easy to work with. Front panel connectors include not only USB and Firewire-A, but also full connectors for AC97 and Azalia sound. Very workmanlike in appearance.

Cons: I own two of what are essentially the same case, this and an 832. The only apparent differences are the door vents, mesh on the 830 and louvers on the 832, and the former has an aluminum hard-drive cage, while the latter's is made out of steel. Both of them are kind of flimsy, and have a tendency to rattle and vibrate because the fit of the doors and other parts is looser than you might expect in higher-end parts like these. The reset button broke on the 832 broke off when it was about a year old, which I can live with. In the case of the 830, the spring-loaded pin at the top of the door failed which allowed the door to fall forward, whereupon the bottom pin broke off. The damage occurred in late January after purchasing the case in early December, 2008.

Overall Review: FUD? Regarding the broken pins that I describe in "Cons" above, I contacted CM technical support via the live chat service and was helped by a gentleman named Marvin. All that I requested were replacement pins for the ones that had failed on the 830 case. Marvin agreed in chat to send the parts, and emailed a confirmation to that effect. Sounds good right? Well, the exchange that I describe above took place a calendar month ago, and I still haven't received the parts... After three weeks, I emailed Marvin to check on the status of the parts/shipment, but he hasn't responded. Further, I tried to contact CM support, yet again this PM, and no one is home. There support system no longer appears to be functioning. If I'm completely wrong about the state of CM support for its products, then I apologize to CM and all of you. If however they can't/won't honor the warranty on these very expensive cases, I felt like someone needed to speak up. You just never know these days.

Pros: Very large case with great air flow capabilities.

Cons: Very fragile aluminum construction of tray and flanges. One flang was never attached to the side panel and all frame type aluminum pieces were not square.

Overall Review: The spaces provided for extra fans is great and the real draw back is that Cooler Master ships this unit with a 850W power supply which gets downgraded by Newegg to a combo deal offer with a 750W power supply.

Pros: I got this case as a shell shocker for 130 + free shipping. At that price this case is easily a 5 egg product. However, those reading this will probably have to pay full price and at 200 clams this case should not have had some of the issues I had to deal with. Regardless, the overall design is fantastic. The case is huge, which for some is a con, but not for me. I love a big case with lots of airflow and in that department, this case delivers. You can mount an ATX mobo BTX style which is kinda cool. Massive amounts of ventilation allows for lots of intake power without having to worry about balancing exhaust. Removable fan wall able to hold up to 4 140mm fans (unless you have a big cpu cooler. With the megahalem I can only fit 2 fans) Case is easy to mod to to allow for two additional 120mm fans on the bottom (holes are already drilled but covered by mesh ventilation, just drill through the mesh for up to 11 fans total)

Cons: Case vibrated way too much out of box. I traced the problem to loose rivets and had to drill them out and re-rivet a few spots which fixed the problem. Power/reset LEDs do not work. Not worth paying the $30+ to ship back for RMA. Oh-well... Many sharp edges on chassis. The included metal mouse pad is cool but also suffers from sharp edges (it cut me as soon as I picked it up). I had to sand down the edges to fix the problem. Some of the plastic parts (mounting clips for fan wall and front door) feel extremely cheap. I move my computer around a lot and nothing has broke on me yet, but some stronger pieces would have been nice. Some of the aluminum parts were damaged. The HDD cage was scratched so bad that... well, it's bad. The machining on one of the front rails (the thing behind the door that has to be pulled open to access the 5.25 bays) was horrendous. Unfortunately this is so bad that I can't fix it and it is visible when the door is open.

Overall Review: I read almost all of the reviews on this case before I bought it. While some of the issues I had seem to be fairly common (vibrations and cheap plastic parts), the cosmetic issues (which is mainly to blame for the three egg review) are most likely very rare. I also have a Cosmos S case and the craftsmanship is superb. I would still highly recommend this case to anyone (even at 200 bucks) and will gladly buy coolermaster products in the future. In all fairness, I never contacted coolermaster to request replacement parts for only the damaged stuff. For all I know they may have been willing to ship those out without requiring me to send back the whole case. For how much this case costs, I should not have had to spent the time and effort I did on fixing it. However, now that I've addressed most of the kinks, this truly is an amazing case!

Pros: -All aluminum, very little plastic -Motherboard tray is removable and fits micro ATX, ATX, and extended ATX -Has spots for crossflow fans -Can easily fit huge video cards, even the ATI 5970 when it comes out -Can fit up to 9 120mm fans, although only 7 positions are immediately assessable -Every side of this case - front, back, sides, top, bottom - has huge open vents. Air cooling is fantastic. It's practically like running a caseless system -The four fan side panel can fit 140 mm fans! When you get all the fans running in this system, it's an impressive sight

Cons: -I actually dislike the tooless feature. Some of the removable panels can jiggle even when locked in place, which may create vibration noise -If you want a large cpu heatsink, you may actually have to remove the four fan side panel, which sucks because it's the best feature of this case -Like a lot of full towers (but not as bad as steel ones) this thing is pretty heavy. I think this thing may weigh up to 50lbs when fully loaded. You'll want to attach the wheels

Overall Review: -Despite some of the flaws, I think this is the best case I've ever owned. The vents allow you to see inside the system, without having the cheap plastic windows. -I don't know why the Antec 1200 gets so much praise. I think this case is much, much better. This case only has a 120mm top fan, unlike the Antec 1200's 200mm fan. But come on, that 200mm fan looks a bit ridiculous. The Stacker 830 simply looks cool

Pros: Very high quality case,looks absolutely amazing. It is very roomy and can hold A LOT of fans. I don't regret buying it but is a little bigger then I expected, definitely a full tower case. Other than that I highly recommend it

Pros: The case is simply amazing, First off its huge, the mobo is very easy to put in, thanks to the slider plate. Cools great.

Cons: The coolmaster v8 will NOT fit in the case unless you chip a peice of the plastic fan bracket off, Thats the only way I fit the cooler in the case
