Does this have auto-mute?  When you push the mic in the up right position, does this cause the mic to auto mute like how the Logitech g35 does?

As far as I can tell it does not, but you do have a handy button on the cord that adjusts volume and mutes. It's very noticeable when its muted or not, too (it flashes red/blue

Can these work without installing drivers? I would like to use these with my PS3 as well as my PC.

These headphones work well without having to install a driver for pc, however I'm not sure about using these headphones for console gaming. I can say that I was dubious about spending so much for these headphones but I am really happy with my purchase. The cable is heavy duty and the sound is amazing they get very loud, the microfiber ear cushion feels like they are not actually on my head. Someone at Corsair may have info about drivers and console gaming, good luck.

Is this compatible with mac and or windows 7?

It works on the Mac, but with huge compromises:
1) It is WAY TOO LOUD. You need some tricks to turn the volume down (command line: osascript -e "set volume 0.05") or a third party app.
2) It seems to turn down the volume to zero regularly all by its self, which makes for annoying listening.
In other words, I wish I had not bought this.

How is the noise cancelling?

Well for the mic its not super amazing it will cancel keyboard and mouse clicks fine but will pick up on other sounds allot more. And for the ear cups it better but not perfect it will cancel other voices in the room out and you won't hear a thing they say but for any thing louder than idk I'd say a window fan in max you can hear.

Is this a comfortable headset? Also is it better than the 1500 v2?

I love this headset. Totally comfortable, even while wearing glasses. Cups cover the entire ear and it doesnt make your ears sweat. As for the v2 its all preference. Ive had wireless and they ended up being wired because I was sick of charging them. Pressing the button on the side eventually made them break. Hope this helpsn

Can someone please try to wear this "behind the head" and let me know if it works well. As in microphone is usable (still can rotate down) and if it sticks to your head properly? Thanks.

I believe that the microphone doesn't tilt down past the 110 degree angle you see in the photo, so if you wore them backwards the microphone would be pointing upwards.

The ear holes are oval shaped so the top and bottom of your ear would be getting pressed on instead of around.

The weight is somewhat heavy, and these headphones already squeeze a little, I don't think there would be enough support to do this.

I haven't physically tried wearing this this way yet, but I don't think it will work out very well.

I'll comment again tonight after I give it a shot.

Anyone know how they feel with glasses on?

These are very comfortable using them with glasses. I use them on a daily basis while wearing glasses and have no issues. Also, I am a pretty big guy with a rather large head and have no issues. The memory foam is just purely comfortable.

Do it works with the Play Station 4?

Yes, it works great. You have to control the volume via the PS4 menu that pops up when you hold the PS button, though, as it does not recognize the headset's volume buttons.

What is different about this from the previous model (apart from the color scheme and ugle trampstamp logo)?

Nothing. All they did was rebrand the Vengeance 1500v2 and 2100 headsets with the new ugly Corsair Gaming logo and yellow scheme.
