No, the switch just determines how the keyboard feels as you are typing. The RGB LEDs are completely unaffected by which key switch you choose. Browns are great because they feel great for typing, but they are responsive enough to do some pretty decent gaming with.

How is it's compatibility with windows 10?

I have a question about the light up keys do they totally light up even the secondary functions of them? I bought a top of the line Razor Widow and I can not see the secondary key functions without a room light because they do not light up only the primary key function. So I want to make sure I'm buying what I need as a light sensitive Stroke victim.

The keys fully light up but unlike the BlackWidow it does not have secondary key functions etched into the key. The function keys just have F1, F2 etc. etched into the key. I believe it has a Windows key instead of a function key along right hand bottom of the keyboard.

They say it has an aluminum frame, but is that just the base, or is the whole construction aluminum?

The top of the Keyboard is Aluminum the Bottom / Base is plastic.  Keyboard is very sturdy, and Mech Keys are nice but I miss the Clicky keys (Blue) which no one has anymore.
