Which is the preferred way to connect this unit USB or Optical?

   If you connect via optical, you only have speakers. Via USB, the computer recognizes it as a Sound  Card  Sound BlasterX Katana
  So it's better to connect to the computer via USB.

Question 2

My mobo doesn't have bluetooth, will these connect to a bluetooth 4.0 adapter and work well?

Yes, it should work fine. I’ve connected my setup to my iPhone with Bluetooth. But if you have a motherboard I’d recommend using the USB or optical connection. It’ll be more reliable and the audio won’t have any compression.  Also you won’t have any lag over those but there will be a slight delay over Bluetooth.

Is the Subwoofer wireless, or does it have to be wired to the Soundbar or PC?

Hi Bro,
The sub does need to be plugged in to the sound bar but not the PC and it doesn't require power. Just one cable. Btw this is a great sound bar, its one of the few that can fit under a monitor. Best of luck. =-)

Question 4

Haven't purchased this yet but one of Q&A answers said that BT isn't as good, is it good enough for basic 2.1? None of the processing or virtual stuff needed.  Thanks you.

The Bluetooth sounds fine for me, comparing it to both optical and USB. Of course there's going to be some BT compression compared to wired digital connections like those, but it's not obvious. The lag isn't bad either, at least compared to my BT headphones (Bose QC35).

BUT, what drives me crazy is that it says "connected" and "disconnected" at maximum volume, seemingly unchangeably, which can be physically painful up close. This will rarely be an issue if you leave your connected device (presumably a PC) on 24/7, but if you're constantly putting it to sleep and waking up, it gets old fast.

Fortunately, at this stage in my life I have a large office to myself, but if you share an office, or have a roommate nearby, this might drive them crazy too.

Does this work with Asus Aura Sync?

I have this set up with a custom built desktop using a fairly universal RCA micro jack. Sounds excellent.

Question 6

Aux and USB does not work for sound. Is my product a defect or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Huong C,
Here are some things you can check. Make sure you download and install the drivers then firmware or the speaker. For windows make sure that the speakers are highlighted in the sound setting that can be found in setting (start menu) or in the bottom right notification section. Hopefully, some of this helps you out.

I bought this and the USB and Aux did not work, but the main cable works just fine. Anyone know what to do, or do I just have a defect?

I wish I could help but only had (and fully tested OK) for a weekend as it was part of a new build I was making for a friend, haven't received any complaints about it. Yes it can but if you have a standard USB port on your computer I would plug it into that. Or you can do an optical cable. Both will provide better sound quality than a standard headphone jack.
