How is this device powered?

I've read that it has an internal rechargeable battery that is charged by an included USB cable. The micro USB end of the cable plugs in to the speaker. The other end plugs into any USB powered source ... like a PC ... or a typical adapter you'd use to charge a smartphone or tablet. I have not purchased this item but plan to.
