My son wants me to buy this for him but he wants the speakers to have subwoofer.  Does this model have it?
(p.s.  I don't know what subwoofer means)

Hi there, these particular speakers do not have a subwoofer. Below is a link to a list of speakers on this website that does. A subwoofer is a component that produces the bass part of music or other sounds. Speakers with a "2.1" configuration have one. 2.1 means 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer. Each speaker is 5 1/2" deep by 3 5/8" wide by 7 5/8" tall.  The volume and tone knobs stick out about half an inch.

Can I use these speakers with my laptop?

These speakers are great for a desktop solution. The sound clarity is good and it has headphone jacks on the right master speaker.
I bought for my daughter and she loves them. A con would be that there is no subwoofer, so I wouldn't suggest them for any high-fidelity audiophile purposes. They take up minimal space, and sound great. The answer for the laptop is yes, but you need an A/C outlet to power them.

The sound quality for these speakers is exellent! I purchased these not only to address the needs for higher volume in a larger space but to enjoy some higher sound quality. These speakers deliver both in a big way! They are easy to hook up and have improved my ability to do an effective presentation. I highly recommend this product.

No they do not. The included connection are 3.5mm just like a headphone jack. Both for the input and the aux.
