can i use these with a desktop pc?

Yes you can but your desktop must have an audio jack.  This unit is powered through the USB port but the audio does not go through the USB cable.  The unit comes with the USB cable and one additional audio cable that is ready to plug into your audio jack.  Most desktops have a place for an audio cable but it is worth checking before you buy.  Sometimes the audio jack is in the back of the unit on the sound card.  My desktop has the audio jack on the front of the machine.  The audio jack is sometimes labeled with an icon of a set of headphones.

Is it one USB wire or does it also use another wire to earphone jack?

It is only USB powered, for sound you must have a standard 2.5mm jack which of course just about all PC's support. There are very few USB powered and USB supplied sound options out there. Personally I would opt for a bluetooth speaker sound system, just plug it in and sync it to your windows and your done.

how long is the USB cable ?

Both cables, usb and sound input cable are 32 inches.  My wife uses this on her laptop for sound and it sounds good for videos and movies but not as a replacement for detached PC speakers sound for playing music loud.
