What is the length of just the base?

It is 26" wide and 12" deep.  A pretty large base if you don't have a lot of room.

is this compatible with my dell S2740L?
because im thinking to buy another S2740L and might need a monitor stand so that i can save more space on my table

I personnally didn't like it, in fact I put my monitors back on their original stands.  The main issue I had is my desk is up against a wall.  This stand is a lot deeper then the single stands, so it took up more desk space and brought the monitors up closer to me then I liked.  If you have a deep desk that may not be an issue.
