How have you owned this headset before it broke? I want to get a general idea of the average lifespan of this headset.

This headset lasts a pretty long time compared to most I have had. Right now the mic still works and audio is perfectly fine and chips in and out from time to time but for the most part its almost been a year now, however the usb adapter cable that comes with it that has the mic control buttons on it has stopped working around 2-4 months ago. Also Im not a careful person and have stepped on the usb adapter and applied aggressivce force onto the cords many times. So If you mind to take care of the item I predict it would last at least a year and a half or two until you start experiencing any problems.

What is the connector size: 3.5" or 2.5"?

Standard 3.5 mm. Fits cell phones etc.
