will this vacuum/sweep hard wood floors?

Yes, but it doesn't do a very deep clean. It will certainly do an adequate job for weekly maintenance cleaning: it will pick up dirt, dust, small debris, leaf bits, etc. Twice or thrice a year, we still do a steam clean on the floors and that removes all of the oils and the like that can eventually deposit/cling to the hardwood floors.

Word of note, you really have to be fastidious about cleaning off the brush and rubber spinny bit after each cleaning. Threads and lint tend to get trapped there and if they're not removed, they stop spinning and then (especially if the rubber bit stops spinning) it doesn't really clean hardwood at all.

Overall, I have really been amazed at what a decent job the Roomba does. I was highly skeptical at first.

What is the suction power of this model in pa?

Robotic vacs don't have a ton of suction. So they are best for bare floors or maintaining a carpet floor between good cleaning with a full size vac.

Question 3

can this be used for 220v outlet? or only 110V

Accepted Answer

The plug on the power brick is for a US 2-prong 110v 60Hz outlet.  Because there is a power brick, however, I'm sure you could get a different power brick from iRobot or a 3rd party and charge the roomba that way.
