Does the extended  battery capacity of the case extend the battery life of the iPad air or is it just the battery operation of the case?Thanks

The keyboard battery powers only the keyboard and provides no power to the iPad itself.

Does it work with IPAD 4 generation?

i use it with my Ipad Air 1 and it works beautifully, i'm pretty sure it will work with the 4th gen because it just is a bluetooth keyboard. the only think im going to caution you on, is that its made for the size of the ipad air. it will not fit the 4th gen as a case/cover. you would have to have them separated at all times. (the ipad air has the bezel smaller than the 4th gen.)

I use mine with the iPad Air 1 but I've been considering the upgrade to an Air 2. Since the length and width dimensions are identical, I'm certain the Air 2 will fit in the case for travel. Since it uses the Bluetooth standard, I'm also certain it will connect. The iPad Air 2 is thinner, however, so I'm not sure how that will affect the tablet's tilt once it's placed in the slot for typing. I'm guessing it won't be an issue, but that's the one unknown at this point.

Yes, although the iPad Air 2 is thinner it has the same length and width dimensions.

It will work with either one. I have both iPad air and iPad air 2 and they both worked. iPad air 2 is about 1 mm thinner so it would not be noticeable.

The keys on my keyboard are soft  sometimes they do not print unless pressed very hard. How are the keys on this product?

I love this product and find it easy to type on.  Not as good as a full-size stand alone PC keyboard, but about as good as a standard laptop keyboard.   You won't get the same length of key travel or mechanical feedback/clicks, but the keyboard is responsive and predictable -- you don't need to press hard.

Will it work with Nexus 7 2nd Gen Android Tablet.? Has anyone used this with an android tablet.?

It works with android.  I have this and had no problem syncing it with android.

The slot is very narrow so if you use it as a stand you would have to modify unless your Android is very thin.

Very well constructed of metal.
