Is there a way to accelerate and brake without using the pedals? I have paralysis in my legs and am unable to move them.

Within the Logitech Profiler software you should be able to map your paddle shifters as your gas and brake. If not, you should be able to map that within whichever game you are playing. I cant be 100% sure though that it will work for ps3. I just know you can do it for the PC.

Is the brake pedal input based on the amount of travel of the actuator or the amount of force being applied by the user?

I believe that, based on my research, the brake pedal is travel based.  You might want to do other research as I am not a sim racing guru.  About 2 months ago I bought the G27 Wheel for iracing.  I've played Gran Turismo but only with a controller.  The G27 is the first racing wheel I've used with a sim racing game.

This being said, I've had a blast using it and would recommend it as a first wheel for anyone just getting into sim racing.  Lots of people use it for iracing.  Now, I would recommend getting a wheel stand or making some sort of cockpit (even it this just means drilling holes into a table)  This is a complication you will run into with any racing wheel set.  Also,  the pedals are easily tipped over backwards when you attempt to heal-toe downshift with the clutch (when you are pressing all three pedals)  This is why i recommend getting a wheel stand.

Over all, a great buy for the price.

Question 3

Can you use the force feedback system to reduce the rotational degrees of steering? When playing F1 I obviously dont want 900 degrees of steering and something closer to 180 or 360.

The short answer is yes. The best games available have a number of methods to allow the driver to adjust his system to the game. I play only computer based race games and have used my G27 now for almost 4 years. I drive with a group of guys almost every night for 2 or more hours. I own both rfactor 2 and Assetto Corsa. Both of these games have adequate tools to make the driving very good. I typically set my lock to lock turn radius at 340 degrees in game with rfactor 2. Even though I could buy the highly praised "more expensive" wheels, I see no need to spend more money when the wheel I have provides me with hundreds of hours of lively racing online and off per year. I don't see any type of mount to this. Can the wheel be mounted to your desk? I don't want to be lifting it up every time i make sharp turns haha.

Yes it's got mounting screws that holds it to your desk or anything else you want to use the foot pedals have a barbed piece on the bottom to hold it to the carpet if on carpet and rough rubber pads if you have tile or one of those plastic mats for a computer chair

This purchase s new box or refurbished?

It's new man. And it doesn't say it anywhere but it comes with a copy of rfactor in the box. I didn't know that so I bought and installed the game while I was waiting for the wheel to be delivered so I have 2 copies now.

Will this work with Windows 7?

I use this on Windows 7, and it does work great. You must install the software before you plug it into the computer. Don't plug it into the computer untill the software installer prompts you to do so.

what model of logitech racing wheel is compatible with xbox 360?

From what I know, Logitech does not have any 360 compatible wheels. If you look up racing wheels for the 360, you can find some. None of them seem to be as good as the g27, though. I remember seeing a device for letting you use this wheel with the 360, but I don't know how good that was.

No, and it won't work for PS4 either. If you get a Xim4 you can use it on any console.
