Did the refurbished headset come with the CD that has the voice morphing program as provided when buying the headset new?

It didn't come with the CD, however the voice morphing software is part of the Logitech Gaming Software that is installed when you download the drivers. No cd was needed. However the version included only has 6 included voices. They are Robot, Ogre, Giant, Alien, "mutant", and "Space Squirrel". From reading the forums you have to buy additional voices and when used they launch as a separate app rather then integrating into the existing app.

Honestly I'm glad I bought this unit. I use it for my office desk phone and it seems to last through the day with no problems. It blocks a surprising amount of ambient noise. It's not light, but it's not to heavy to be comfortable.

Thinking about buying another one for home use, though I'm not certain I can rationalize the cost since my existing headset works just fine.

Question 2

How do you guys about the this refurbished product? I wonder if i should get one because the price is unbeatable. Is there significant sign of wear-and-tear? Does it look new?

Normally, I'm a big fan of refurb'd items, but in this case, it wasn't that great. The one I got was dirty and definitely could tell it'd been used before. Upon using mine, I found that the battery life was no where near where it should be, even after fully charging. Got maybe 2 hrs, if that, and operation was flaky at best. Kept dropping connection, beeping that the battery was dying, plus interference crackle. After messing with it for a day or two, I'd had it and reported it to newegg for an RMA. They were great, shipped me an overnight return label free of charge and would have the replacement sent overnight as well.

Well, upon receiving it, I guess they didn't have any more to replace it with, so they just refunded my money, no restocking or anything, which was cool. I think they get these in batches, as I was following the item for a while, waiting for it come back in stock, and as soon as I bought mine, it went back out of stock, which is where I get my theory about the refund instead of replacement.

I ended up buying a pair of Turtle Beach Black Ops (Xray i think is the actual name of  them) when they went on sale somewhere for about the same price. I like them, but the sound isn't as good as the Logitech's were...the G930 had better, deeper tones, and with the simulated 7.1 it really sounded good. The Turtle Beach's are alright, they've been solid performers, but I kinda do wish the 930's had worked.

YMMV, and if time isn't a huge factor to you, and don't mind having to possibly send it back, I think I'd probably give them a shot and hope for the best, but just be aware that any problems you run into aren't likely just you not operating it correctly, but something wrong with the headset itself.

Hey when it says refurbished what does that mean. how refurished is it or is it close to new is it used like what will the condition be when i get it?

When I got mine it looked to be in pretty good condition. The ear cookies and the sound were absolutely fine, and looked good as new. I did notice some white build-up around the headset area, but that unit ended up being defective (charging jack wouldn't work). I RMAd it back to NewEgg because it wouldn't charge effectively (had to have pressure from a specific angle to get it to charge), and the new one I got looks even better. Again the cookies look perfect, the boom doesn't look messed with, and the jack looks perfect.

So it's a tough call - the first unit looked a little more "used" than I would expect from a Refurbished unit, but it appears that the refurbishing company didn't do their best work on that unit, because the replacement I got looked brand new.

I would finally say that you should get a good unit, and if you don't I would suggest RMAing it if it doesn't meet your needs.

Dose this come with the usb hub? and is it original packaging?

It comes with the USB hub, the USB receiver and the headset. If this is the refurbished product, it will come shrink wrapped together, not in the original packaging, but still works as a brand new headset. I've never had trouble with mine since I got it!

Is this one new?

No it's the older model but if you are looking for a good surround sound headset I wouldn't look twards logitech at the moment for the past couple months they have messed up there audio drivers for there headsets making them pretty useless and have yet to fix there issue.  I'd look else ware for a headset. Logitech hasn't even acknowledged there's a problem

Since 3-4 months my Razer Kraken Pro push my glasses on my head and hurt after 2-3 hours of gaming. I really need a new headset and I wanted to know: Is it comfortable with glasses?

Not a joke, this may be the most comfortable set I've owned for my glasses. I had a few bugs with the dongle and cord but comfort wise, this guy is pretty great.

Will this work with xbox one?

Do not know. I use it on PC it will blutooth to you phone your XBOX would have to have a USB port

Does this headset work with ps3 or ps4? Or just for PC?

LMGTFY- The Wireless Gaming Headset G930 is only officially supported on a Windows operating system. Users have found ways to make it work on consoles like the Playstation 3 but can't use all it's features like Surround Sound because the Logitech Gaming Software can only be installed in Windows.

I was looking to get one of these but my brother already owns a pair. Do you know if they work with multiple sets in the same house? For example if he and I were using them at the same time would we hear each others music or get interference? If so is there a way to change the frequency it plays on so that it doesn't?

You can use multiple pairs in the same house. Only downfall would be possible interference on the 2.4 band. Though its not gonna be a situation where you hear his game and he hears yours. They are linked together differently.

Example; Most mice and routers, headsets, and wireless keyboards all run on 2.4 band, though your mouse isn't gonna play sound and your keyboard is not gonna click. They have a coding which directs.

Question 10

I have a set that lasted 16 months. then the USB socket broke. I guess that's a usual thing with these. So I'm wondering, refurbished means what was broke? If it was the USB socket soldering breaking I'de gladly buy the refurbed ones because that part would probably have a Solder then the new ones do.

I had back luck with the refurbished sets, I had to go though 4 pares before I was able to get a working set, most sets had the usb charging port broken and one set didn't even have the USB dongle in it, and another had no battery in it

If you are willing to send back a few sets it is a good way to save a few dollars but it comes down to how much your time is worth
