Does this come with the wireless receiver and cables?

yes and no....wireless receiver is a USB plug in, the cables are for charging and one is for using in an iPod or phone, you can plug into the ear phone jack on the iPod or phone and use your head phones. The cool part is you can also run the headset wireless from your computer at the same time. So listen to music through the computer and have a conversation on the phone at the same time.

Been reading about some USB Wireless Mix Adapter All i want to know is will this work out of the box for pc gaming wireless.

Im sure ill have to update the software and everything but will i need to purchase additional things to be able to have a wireless connection with 7.1 surround on my pc?

Works right out of the box. Has a blutooth dongle stored in the head set and all you have to do is pop it out and plug it into your PC.  I've used it on a work PC and had no rights to install software and worked like a champ. Really nice headset.  Had it for almost a year now and no issues so far. I hope this helps.

Will the refurbished headset show wear and tear?

Mine had zero wear and tear on it there was a piece loose inside in the battery bay but all I had to do was glue it down.
