is it rechargeable or do you have to replace batteries ?

It is rechargeable. The LED's on the headset do make the battery die quicker.  To counteract that I turn them off and my headset will last around 8 hours with constant comms coming through the speakers.  With the LED's on it will last half that so around 4 hours.

Do you need a 7.1 surround sound card to use this headset? Or is a USB plug enough?

No but you will have to install the Logitech software because it is simulation surround sound. It also has DTS and Dolby. Both are excellent.

It says the mic is noise cancelling, but are the headphones themselves noise cancelling?

No the headphones are not noise canceling. Also they only provide surround sound and wireless signal if the are used with a computer.  You must use the supplied cable and connect it to your controller to use them with a console which makes them mono with mic. If you want stereo you must get the console's controller stereo add on, at least with xbox. This is not at all clear in the marketing materials. With all that said the sound is very good and well balanced. It comes with a software equalizer that does little to nothing to change the balance. If you want to use them with a phone you must also use the cable.  My understanding is that Bluetooth does not provide enough bandwidth for the higher quality sound but the sub wireless card does.

Does this headset cut in and out like the G930 does? Which is better the G933 or the G633?

I can say the time out is a bit short if you are not talking on the mic, or in some sort of game or video so there is sound going through it.  Other than that I have never had it cut out while using it.  I had the G930's before and these are much better.

Yes it does and goes into mute mode when you fold it up.

According to my tape measure, it's 10 feet (120 inches) long, or for the metric folks, about 3 meters (304.8 cm.)

How does the headset connect to the PS4 and the Xbox One?

I use a cord that came with the headset it plugs into the controller, I am not sure if it is able to connect wireless to the xbox one which is what I have I use it mainly for my pc but it does work on xbox one with a cord.  Overall I love the headset.

Yes, it has both a 3.5 mic/headphone jack AND a USB Micro-B port on the headset unit. (The included USB-A to USB-Micro-B roughly 10-foot cable is included. Both jacks are placed just under the Left ear-cup by the Mic flip-arm.

Is there any noticeable audio latency?

Even with extensive gaming sounds and music in the background I have yet to experience any sound latency.

The specs offer audio "mixing", but where the on/off switch is on the wireless version is instead a PC/3.5mm switch, which makes it sounds like the different audio sources cannot be used simultaneously on the wired version... (these observations are from the images of the product)

On the wireless version, there is a 3.5mm jack on the headphones and another on the dongle. Then whatever you pipe in from the PC. So you can have up to three sources at once. These ports also allow for fairly loose source selection. For example, I just realized I can use a 3.5mm male/male cable from my phone to the dongle. Then plug the dongle into a USB battery backup to use them wirelessly with my phone. Volume mixing seems to need to happen at the audio sources though.
