Hi, the speakers stand about 9 inches high and 3 1/2 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches deep. They don't take up a lot of room and they sound good for a small speaker, I'm very happy with them.

They are permanently wired together. The cord length is about 4 feet. I've had these speakers for over a year, I've had no problems with them.

Do these speakers make noise when a cell phone is near them sending or receiving data?

I know what noise you are referring to as I have heard it before. I believe this is a byproduct of the phone itself and the specific broadcast frequency used, not the speakers. I used to have a prepaid phone that would emit noise through almost any sound reproduction equipment (in cars, PC speakers, home stereo, PA systems, etc).

I can tell you that these speakers are silent next to iPhone, LG G2, and Motorola MotoG on multiple carriers. However, with that said, after switching off prepaid to my MotoG, I no longer hear this noise anywhere.

Does this work with a projector? Does the cords that come with it allow you to be able to hear device in a room or is it strictly for listening thru headphones.?

Pam, like most sets of multimedia speakers these include an input wire [1/8 inch stereo miniplug] that can plug into the headphone port of most any phone/tablet/laptop/etc.  There's a volume control on the speakers, and they have their own headphone port as well.  That's useful if you connect these at a computer where you sometimes use headphones.
