Yes. On the right hand speaker is the volume knob for the speakers. The volume knob also acts as the on/off switch.

It does not have a USB connection.  Although I will say I was very surprised and pleased with the quality of sound this unit produces, well worth the money!

Can I turn off the subwoofer but still have the satellites on?

Hi Anna. The simple answer is no. Since both the satellites get their signal and power from the sub, there is no provision for a power switch on the sub -woofer. There is, as you may notice, a volume knob on the sub-woofer which may help decrease the bass. I hope this was helpful.

I have the speakers facing directly towards me on the desk and the subwoofer turned to the side below. It bounces between the two close legs on my desk. Great sound quality for me. Never point the sub at you, it generally ruins the quality.

What is the wattage of the subwoofer and the wattage of each speaker? Thank you.

The total RMS wattage of the system is 30W.  It breaks down like this.  Each speaker is rated at 6 watts RMS and the Sub-woofer is rated at 18 Watts.

My unit came without instructions and there is no label on the back of the subwoofer showing where to plug in the left speaker. Do I plug the left speaker into the top-most jack?

The left speaker connects to the connector(hole) that is immediately adjacent to the right speaker connector which is the RS232 DB9 connection( the LARGE one ).

If you mean 110/220 as in U.S. or Europe, no, it runs on 110v. You'll need a converter to run them on 220v. By the way, these are awesome speakers for the money, I'm extremely happy with them.
