Pros: A very loud set of speakers. Bass shakes my desk, makes picture frames rattle. They sound good to me, I'm not an audiophile though.
Cons: Cables for the satellite speakers are fantastically stiff, which means they fight you when you set them somewhere, and resist cable management.
Pros: Very crisp highs/details and very powerful bass. Best computer speakers at ~$120, most affordable THX speaker.
Cons: Didn't get it sooner....
Pros: When I first hooked these up, I was thrilled by their performance!
Cons: I've had them for a few months now, and the volume control has started making horrible very loud popping noises when I adjust the volume.. They work great if you don't adjust the volume
Pros: I am blown away. I am still impressed with this system. the bass is incredible, WAY more powerful than the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. I compared both at a local Best Buy a while ago to see which one i wanted to add to my newegg cart, and fell in love with this, and it's about 60 bucks cheaper than the promedia. The sales guy said he had one display he had to get rid of, so i got this for 80 bucks. I couldn't say no, sorry newegg. There is NO static until you get to the 75% mark, and by that time your ears will have fallen off anyway. There are a total of 3 inputs for this. a stereo red-white input and a green 1/8" stereo computer input on the back of the sub, plus another 1/8" stereo input on the right speaker. this allowed me to have both a subwoofer signal and l/r signals put in and broadcasted at the same time so i could use these as my surround speakers, and for my center and l/r I have a logitech audiostation boom box sitting behind my monitor. the tones match perfectly.
Cons: the main l/r speakers are weak in comparison to the sub, you can hear them tap at about 50% volume when you run them by themselves. luckily I'm just using those speakers as good sounding surrounds, so they don't have to put out as much signal. I have not heard the subwoofer tap yet. in fact, i hear the windows and my desk tap before i hear any other kind of distortion. :D
Overall Review: The sound from this system is most comparable to polk home stereo towers, which are in my basement. It is so clear. and if you get this (and there is no reason not to) i recommend using them for VERY wide stereo sound. That is where the sound really shines. This is so amazing i am here buying one more. this one will be used for my rear, so with my logitech ipod boom box doing center/left/right, one z623 already for side, one more z623 for rear, and both z623 subs getting subwoofer signal, i will have a 7.2 surround :) :D as far as these vs. the promedias, 1. the bass is bigger and sounds more natural, where the promedia taps and doesn't hit the "ultra lows" this shakes windows and vibrates clothes like youre in a club. 2. the main speakers are more powerful, but the promedia sounds crisper by a hair. 3. this is cheaper. 4. this is thx certified. 5. the promedia ONLY sounds good when the speakers are pointed right at you, not the case with z623. any other reasons to buy it?
Pros: Easy Set up, Easy to access control knobs and bass control. Nice system
Cons: Not too many input methods, but 3 is all I need. Some users may want more.
Overall Review: Some people may think that their mids and highs arent good on this setup or that the speakers are ugly, but in reality they look nice and utilitarian and the sub looks simple and I like that. Great bass on most sounds but way way way low sounds dont come so well, but i dont notice. I recomend it! worth $150 for sure and free shipping is free too.
Pros: The speakers and Bass were hooked up and going on my computer in less than 5 minutes! Outstanding sound from the two stereo speakers and the Bass. Turned them all the way up and they are loud with no distortion, no sound breakup. Very satisfying sound. Excellent product for the price.
Cons: Cannot think of a thing! Get these!
Overall Review: I would highly recommend this product!
Pros: $89.99 for what you get... Crazy good value from Newegg Super easy set-up Love the volume control on the RH speaker No buzzing, rattles, other annoying defects in use Nice having bass control on RH speaker too Good grippy base pads on all components Bass, lotsa bass that is pretty clean, tight, and as powerful as you dare... These will get you evicted at less than 3/4 volume Extremely good factory packaging, where both sets arrived in perfect condition
Cons: RH speaker cord could be longer, and less stiff Some volume knob static, but no big deal Would love to see a treble, and even spatial control knobs
Overall Review: Got two sets for under $200 from Newegg... Look, I know these are not meant to be replacements for my JBL 100T's, but again a replacement tweeter for them costs more than a set of these, and these Z623 speakers after a break-in and some EQ tweaking sound very, very nice. One set seemed pretty dull in the mids and highs, so a little playing around with Equalizer EQ took care of that. The other set seemed brighter without much break-in. Both have great bass, that can be adjusted to suit. You will read many folks say these speakers don't have tweeters, and therefore highs are lousy... The center "silver bullet" phase plug of the satellites, help keep the up to 20k frequencies clean, and as I mentioned adding a few db to the mids and highs has them sounding pretty good, with good vocals and pretty clean highs. I may be getting use to these speakers, but at first it seemed there was too much separation, some weird crossover confusion, but as of late I really am not noticing this much. I was going to get the Klipsch Promedia set, but the $89.99 Newegg price for these Z623's was just too tempting. I am happy with their performance so far, even if they have the stigma of being from a 'mouse and keyboard' maker... Seems they can, and do a nice job with audio, and these speakers are no joke. I am also using these with a Logitech Bluetooth adapter, which is really nice, and works well. The other set is using a TP-link Bluetooth adapter, and I like it even better. Considering all facets, I can give these a solid 5 egg rating. Thanks for reading, and considering my review.
Pros: other reviews say it all, system is great really happy with these speakers input and headphones jacks. super loud sub solid, durable, heavy construction great sounding speakers
Cons: too tempting to max them out
Overall Review: got these on sale for a great deal. was slightly considering book shelf speakers. really glad I went with these because of the detached bass. It really packs a wollup. as long as these speakers last, I will be a happy camper
