How much does the backpack weigh?

I don't have an exact number, but this is pretty lightweight pack compared to most backpacks I've had from Timberland and from Targus.

This may be an obvious question considering the bag is polyester, but is it waterproof? If it starts to downpour on me, will ANY part of the inside be wet? What if I set it down on concrete after a rain? What about after a year of use?

I would say it should be okay for some rain and possible lite dampness, but definitely not for heavy soaking.
