Pros: - 1440p, 144hz, IPS panel, 4ms (you won't find this combination of specs anywhere else at this pricepoint). - Beautiful and bright picture quality. - No dead or stuck pixels (at least with mine). - Came with a DisplayPort cable. - Very nice solid heavy stand (tilts, rotates, turns, and raises up/down). This is a pro for me: Others might debate this, but I like having integrated speakers. I know they aren't high quality speakers... BUT if you are like me and use headphones 99% of the time, you don't want to have a pair of speakers sitting on your desk collecting dust just for that 1% of the time when you want to play something out loud. Some cheap built-in speakers are just what I need and they allow me to keep the desk as clear as possible.
Cons: No cons experienced yet, unless you consider "being out of stock" a con. It's disappointing to see that this line is now out of stock after purchasing it just last week. It seems they are out of stock everywhere, although maybe it's due to the pandemic. I really hope the mfr continues this model because it's great, and at a really good price.
Overall Review: For gaming purposes, this resolution 1440p (2560x1440 a.k.a. WQHD) is the perfect resolution. It's better than both 4K (3840x2160 a.k.a UHD) and 1080p (1920x1080 a.k.a "Full HD") and this is why: - 1440p has nearly twice (1.8x) the pixels of 1080p. This is crucial in making out details at a distance. - 4K is too many pixels for current gen cards to achieve good framerates. If you purchase a 4K monitor, you will likely need to drop your resolution down when playing games. Here's the catch: If you have to lower the resolution on a 4K monitor, you have 2 options: 1440p or 1080p. HOWEVER, you need to use 1080p (an evenly divisible resolution) if you want to avoid interpolation. If you use 1440p (not evenly divisible) on a 4K monitor, images will seem soft and blurry due to interpolation. I would NOT be happy if I purchased a 4K monitor, but had to play games at 1080p. I would rather purchase a 1440p monitor and play games at 1440p.
