Will the external bay on the front support a DVD drive, or is the slot too small?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  I put a standard desktop blu-ray drive in the external bay on the front.  Your 2.5" drive(s) will sit underneath the external drive, and there are all the standard mounting holes to make it easily work.

Anybody knows what internal PSU will fit in this case?

I went with FSP Group FSP220-60LE(80) and it fit just fine, but any mini-ITX power supply should fit.

Question 3

Will the stock cooler that comes with the AMD AM4 APUs fit in this case? Specifically the A6-9500?

i use this case all the time and only use: 
Noctua NH-L9A for AMD
Noctua NH-L9I  for Intel

silent and efficient

If I Wanted to use a Pico-PSU is there a block off plate for the Mini ITX PSU hole?

I don't have the case with me at the moment as it was built for a friend, but yes it has a screwed-on small plate on the back ( at least the one I got ) which came with pre-drilled Pico PSU mounting hole and it fact its still running off a Pico PSU I ordered from NewEgg as well. Good Luck

Hello, This case is really small and wattage is only an issue because of cooling.  If you plan to use an internal PSU, it will have to be small enough to fit in the case and still allow for sufficient cooling. The other option is to use an external PSU, like what might be used with a laptop. I hope this answers your question.

Question 6

I plan on using this with an AM1 5350 and an ASRock AM1H-ITX motherboard. My question is how much clearance is there from the top of the heatsink to the lid? I have a couple of thoughts on making this passively cooled or fabbing a larger, slower spinning fan but need to know how much room I have. Thanks!

I'm using an AMD A10-7860K cooled with a Noctua NH-L9a in mine. I have I'd say, almost a half inch of clearance. I would imagine about any CPU that performs less than that and has less power draw would be just fine. An AM1 5350 IS ABSOLUTELY NO SWEAT!!

Question 7

Is there a plastic cover strip that should go over the power on indicator?  Mine just has a white led strip that doesn't cover the round hole next to it.

Will I need a mounting bracket for the SSD?

I mounted a 2.5" SSD with four screws through the holes in the bottom of the unit, no bracket was required for this.

I also installed a 5.25 bracket for a slim DVD and a 3.5 inch hard drive.  So I ended up with a slim DVD, one 3.5" HDD, and a 2.5" SSD, all SATA units.
