this will work with realtek onboard sound right...like there no need for an actul sound card?

Should work, I have 2 computers and neither one have any special sound card, just whatever is on the motherboard. As long as the USB panel is working shouldnt be a problem.

Its nothing. It will say that on almost every headset. Maybe something in the LEDs? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
