After getting used to it, how do you like using the thumbpad for movement controls?

I wouldn't recommend using the thumbpad for movement controls because the buttons have a click to each direction, it's not an actual joystick, I usually use it for like switching weapons or stuff like that. I love this thing but I just stick to wasd

is it gentle on the arm and wrist? Looking for a better option to relieve some repetitive motion stress

I use it with my elbow and forearmsitting flat on my desk.  I play a lot of fps like Borderlands and the Half Life series.  I've never encountered any repetitive motion soreness or issues with this product.  I can recommend it!
