Question 1

If I understand it correctly - exhaust is in the front and intake is in the back? Does not seem like that would fly well if one was to colo this case in a data center (cold/warm rows). Can it be reversed?

No, the intake is in the front with 3 x 120mm fans.  They are assuming you will be using short GPU cards like 10 inches or shorter.  There is a middle bracket for 5 x 80mm fans which is not shown in any of the pictures.  Then there are 4 more mounting slots for 4 x 80mm fans on the rear of the case to suck out the hot air.  This is typical in a server case design.

yes, it's a flat top that wraps around the left and right edge, there two tiny screws on each side to hold it in place.

Will this case fit asus strix cards?

I have both the L4000B and the L4000C.  I haven't setup and racked the L4000C just yet so I can't say definitely, but I am using GTX1070's which are fairly long cards and they fit without issue.  If you have more questions let me know.

Is it possible to mount a Radiator in this chassis?

I would honestly ask for what?  Since I use this as a GPU render farm or crypto rack, CPU isn't that intensive and I just used stock cooler on my cpu.  a radiator would block the front and back fans that you'd need to get airflow through the case for the GPUs.  That's gonna be your primary concern.  Cards stacked this close together get very hot under high loads.

Could I squeeze a mini-itx board in this case?

Even though it wasn't supported, I fit a full server board in it. It has a lot of different mounting points, I am sure one is mini-itx.

What are the fan sizes for all of the fan slots in the case?

Front mounts three 120mm. Middle wall properly mounts five 80mm,
but three 140mm can be strapped and shoehorned in at an angle.
The back wall mounts four 80mm. I built a solid center wall of three
1500rpm 140mm, and is still not enough cooling for 5 GPUs with the
lid on. A 20" box fan fits nicely on top with the lid off...

I'm new to this type of configuration, how exactly do the multiple GPUs mount/ connect to the board?

Rosewill RSV-R27LX will mount this in a rack but they are pretty terrible. You can probably find some standard universal rails if you want.

Why does Newegg waste money putting a 550 watt tiny little power suppliy in this case?

So they can sell a $149 box for $199 obviously.
I bought mine at $149 free ship before newegg
added the fantasy build pictures and free 550W.

I have 850W now, just barely covers 6GPUs.
Pulling 770W from the wall.

OTOH, That 550W Rosewill has good reviews
and may be useful for some other purpose.

Check the other large Rosewill cases here
for better prices. Easy to strip a drive cage
and put in a crossbrace for GPU purposes.
