Question 1

Does this need a separate monitor?  Does it hook up to a regular television or computer?  Is everything included that a child would need to set it up?  
I'm asking because I might purchase one for my nephew but would like to get him everything he needs for the game.
Is PS3 a better option if the child's home isn't necessarily equipped with lots of high tech stuff already?  Thanks for any help.

The playstation (including this bundle) has an HDMI port, which it can use to hook up to a TV. No seperate monitor is required. A network conenction is used to update the system software, and get streaming media over the Internet, but the Playstation 4 has a built-in wireless connection, if you don't want to conenct a network cable.

You will need to purchase an HDMI cable, and (optionally) an Ethernet network cable. Everything else is already included.

A Playstation 3 will get you most of the way there - it does have more games available for it. But the cool games are going to increasingly be for the Playstation 4 only. As long as your nephew has an Internet connection and a TV, he'll be okay with either version of the Playstation.

Does the PS4 Star Wars Battlefront 500GB Bundle come with the new Star Wars Battlefront game that is released November 17?

It comes with a card with a code you can use to download and install the game; the game is the Battlefront released November 17th, 2015.  There is also a card with a code for four additional games: Super Star Wars, Star Wars Racer Revenge, Star Wars Bounty Hunter, and Star Wars Jedi Starfighter.

You're stating that this Arkham Knight bundle is sealed and is new.  Does it also come with a manufacturer's one year warranty?  Does it also come with the codes that other bundles advertise?  Last question! (sorry!) Since this is a Christmas gift-how soon after purchase do I need to register this?

The unit is sealed and brand new.  It comes with the one year warranty and you are able to purchase an extended warranty (Sony or Square Trade).  You can register at any time and I believe they give you some wiggle room if purchased around black Friday.
