Pros: What more can I say Its a PS3!!!!!

Pros: Excellent BluRay 3D Player. Game Controls work great.

Cons: No IR remote capability without adapter.

Overall Review: I bought a NYKO BluWave remote for the IR dongle to use with my Onkyo TX-SR608 remote for BluRay. Works great but still think IR capability should be included.

Pros: Good price, wicked fast free shipping, good product, promo gift card!

Cons: Hopefully none.

Overall Review: I impulse bought this PS3 and Madden 11 to tide me over to the next football season...an excellent choice. The $50 gift card sold it and I got my PS3 a mere day after I ordered it! Very awesome.

Pros: Basically everything.

Overall Review: I actually updated to this console, i previously had a 120gb slim SKU cech-2001 the 120gb SKU has a 45nm Cell/65nm RSX. The new cech-2501a/b SKU's have a 45nm Cell/40nm RSX. Resulting in less heat and slightly less power consumption on this SKU. This console by far is the best ps3 i have seen, yes i know the it can not play ps2 games which would be nice but not a huge deal. Ps3 has evolved into something great over these past few years. Sony keep going!!!!

Pros: Comparing this to my 60gb launch PS3, it is much much smaller and lighter. It uses a lot less power, and is a whole lot more quiet. I'm glad they made this change as the noise from 60gb was annoying. Sony appears more confident in this design as they now offer extended warranties on this model. The increase in the hard drive space and the drop in price vs previous models is great.

Cons: Since physical hardware is the major change my review speaks to this: Comparing the launch console and this one you can really see the result of "cost cutting". The finish of the plastic makes it appear very cheap. Definitely not the classy look of the older PS3 with glossy finish and chrome accents. The size and proportion is better, but they could have added some finishing touches like chrome on PS3 logo like previous model etc. I don't like the removal of the 2 USB's and memory card slots. Of course this could be fixed with 3rd party cables/adapters, but I doubt this saved Sony much in manufacturing. The system gets the job done though. If they really had to cut this much to make the system more reliable and 300 dollars cheaper, then it is something we can probably all live with.

Overall Review: Appearances aside, the Playstation 3 performs! Definitely the tip tier console now in this generation. I just hope it lasts more then 3 years this time (this is a replacement for my dead 60gb).

Pros: I owned 60gb version and it died after 3 years of heavy using. I bought the slim and i love it. Plays ps3 game and blu ray. Slim version is much quieter, bigger storage with the 160gb, built in wi-fi, produce less heat, use less power and slimmer.

Cons: It is not backwards compatible like 20 gb/ 60 gb /80 gb version. You can't install linux. You can't put on the side ways like old fat ps3. Slim looks very cheap compare to fat.

Overall Review: I got the delta fan and it is mad quiet. lol I feel bad for people that got the nidec fan.

Pros: Works great as both a gaming console and as a media center thanks to DLNA. Plus since Blu-Ray discs are pretty scratch resistant it makes the used game market much more reliable.

Cons: No HDMI cable, really? No pack in games, the consoles four years old, really?

Pros: The PS3 is an amazing piece of hardware. My first gen died (yellow light of death), this slim replaced it. The slim is MUCH quieter. It is also obviously smaller, although slightly deeper. I don't miss the capacitive touch buttons, the tactile buttons are easier to find without looking at the panel (my PS3 is above the TV).

Cons: 1) Only 2 USB ports, not a big deal, but I use an IR receiver, so that leaves me with 1 port. 2) 6 foot power cord. The first gen came with a nice 9-10 foot cord. I have to use an extension with the current generation.

Overall Review: Sony is fanatical about controlling how you use the system. Since my old system died, I wanted to use my old hard drive in the new system to be able to do a current backup, then restore that to the new drive. The new system refuses to use the old disk without completely reformatting it. Lame.
