Question 1

I want to buy a usb to 5V barrel tip power supply cord.  Cords have Alpha designations (H, L, M, N, etc.) but not dimensions of the barrel tip.  The tip I need is about 3-4 mm in diameter and about 10mm in length.  How to I match dimensions with alpha types?

The wikipedia article on "Coaxial Power Connectors" has a pretty good table matching dimensions and Adaptaplug designations, which I assume to be the same. It gives an Adaptaplug H as being 3.4 mm outer and 1.3 mm inner diameter, which matches the cable I have reasonably well.

The inner diameter is equally important if you want the cable to fit properly, by the way.

What is the polarity of the barrel connector? Please specify if the barrel is positive or negative.

Got this cable, but barrel is too large. Is there a smaller size made - like ~2.5 mm OD?

Can I use this cable to power a Sony CD Walkman from a "Power All" battery bank?

Really do not know.  We use it on a Sony photo  display panel at our show booth.  It worked just fine in that application.
